The Superyacht Gathering hosts events for like-minded individuals in the South Pacific
With less than a month to go until the 2023 Superyacht Gathering Fiji, organisers have confirmed that superyacht company Y.CO is sponsoring the event, which takes place from 23-24 August.
Founded in 2004, Y.CO has established offices in Monaco, London and Fort Lauderdale and — most recently — Auckland. The company supports its superyacht clients in all facets, from brokerage to boatbuilding.
Founded in 2019, the mission of The Superyacht Gathering is to host events in the South Pacific which help foster personal connections that can promote positive change within the industry.
The community who attends are clients, peers and colleagues from the superyacht, travel, and luxury sectors. Organisers say its events are designed to bring together like-minded individuals to collectively encourage sustainable exploration “outside the typical cruising ‘milk-run’ of the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.”

“Y.CO’s decision to sponsor The Superyacht Gathering reflects our shared desire of luring the superyacht community away from the ‘milk-run’ and encouraging sustainable exploration in the unparalleled cruising grounds of the southern hemisphere,” says Fleur Tomlinson of Y.CO Auckland.
“Fiji itself, as well as French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, and Papua New Guinea, are all South Pacific destinations that Y.CO helps its clients access through an impressive charter fleet. The South Pacific is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after yachting destinations, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of the growing popularity of yachting in the region.
“With so many of our high-profile yachts chartering here, it’s great to be able to showcase what these beautiful islands have to offer to our clients.”

The brand’s shift in focus towards this region is reflected in the opening of a new Y.CO office in Auckland earlier this year. Co-founder and CEO Charlie Birkett explains: “Y.CO has always been at the forefront of supporting clients with exciting cruising itineraries in off-the-beaten-track locations, and so strategic global locations such as our new Auckland office enable Y.CO to be where our clients need us, at all times”.
Southern Spars, North Sails, Orams Marine and Yachting Developments have also come on board as Superyacht Gathering Fiji sponsors for the two-day experience.
Limited tickets for the Fiji event are now on sale for NZ$950 and can be purchased online.
