This bold looking yet understated 45-footer MC4S may not get your pulse racing, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
BENETEAU CAUSED quite a splash back in 2014 when it launched the first of the Monte Carlo range, the MC5, with a striking aqua blue hull that I regarded as a game-changer in the 50-foot production flybridge market. Building on its success, the 60-foot MC6 surpassed that model in terms of refinement and has been joined by the entry-level MC4S, a more affordable Sedan version that tweaks this successful recipe.
The MC4S has a slightly boxier profile, because you can only do so much with the 45-foot waterline and towering topsides. But what’s inside is worth a serious look for those seeking a family cruiser. It’s even more ideal for a cruising couple, because of the spacious two-cabin layout rather than squeezing in a third berth. This sedan even manages to include a petite flybridge aft as well, which enhances the versatility of this 45-footer.
