The ISA 140 Hybrid was born from a clear idea at the project's origin: realise a composite motoryacht that combines high speeds, low consumption and total silence...
THE CHALLENGE OF CREATING a high-performance boat that is also very fuel efficient might be solved easily if designing a small vessel, but when talking about a 43.64-metre motoryacht with a top speed of more than 30 knots that can cruise silently at 8 knots with a total fuel consumption of 90 litres / hour using only generators…it was a very interesting challenge for Italian shipyard ISA Yachts.
“With this project we had some very specific requests, for example the possibility to sail at the considerable speed of 32 knots and, in the meantime, the possibility to sail at 8 knots with the minimum fuel consumption and in a total silence,” says Gianluca Fenucci, Head of Project Managment and Co-founder of ISA Yachts based in Ancona. “But this is not all, because another request from the owner was oriented to obtaining a ship that was very complicated in terms of technology, but very easy to manage.”
