Sunreef Yachts has revealed the first images of the Sunreef Zero Cat, its stunning new 90ft superyacht.

Measuring over 90ft, the sailing catamaran concept currently developed by the shipyard’s R&D department will be able to produce clean hydrogen on board, to provide the most sustainable yachting experience.

The yacht will be equipped with a reformer transforming methanol into clean hydrogen. The system will benefit from green power produced by the yacht’s solar power system, with solar cells built into the yacht’s entire bodywork. The energy will be used for both the electric propulsion and hotel loads.

The result is a cat that will generate net zero emissions, no nitrogen oxides and no sulphur oxides while offering self-sufficiency and unlimited autonomy.

Other advantages include low noise and vibration levels, as well as low maintenance. The system will also guarantee the highest level of safety, as no high-pressure hydrogen storage will be needed on board.
