Sunreef Yachts, the luxury multihull builder from Poland, is opening a new office in Dubai to strengthen the company’s presence in the Middle East.
Located on the Palm Jumeirah, the office will be set up in the Palm Marina West and will gather a team of professionals including designers, engineers and architects.
The firm says its new office will be a “yachting think tank” with a mission to create new trends and develop creative solutions to further ideas around the concept of responsible yachting.
In response to rising demand from the Middle East, Asia and Australia, Sunreef Yachts is also currently building its first overseas centre in Ras Al-Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirates.
Having already two catamaran construction sites in Poland, Sunreef Yachts says it has decided to expand its industrial capacity with a new, state-of-the-art facility.
The company is currently building the first production and CNC halls on a land reserve measuring 65,000 sqm. Sunreef Yachts’ Ras Al-Khaimah facility will offer a full infrastructure dedicated to luxury catamaran manufacturing with a modern paint shop, carpentry, upholstery and stainless steel workshops all equipped with state-of-the-art machinery.
The new manufacturing site will first produce the new hybrid 55 Open Sunreef Power catamarans and the Sunreef Supreme 70 and 80 Power, later expanding to a wider range of luxury crafts. The site will begin production of the first yachts in the second half of 2023, employing initially around 50 people. Within three years, the firm says its new site should create up to 800 jobs.
Last year, Sunreef opened a new sales office in Istanbul, Turkey, saying ‘yachting is heading east’.
