Catering to adventurous owners looking to cruise further afield, StellarPM has introduced a new series of explorer power catamarans.
Featuring a tri-deck steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, the new StellarEXP series features both 32-metre and 37-metre models (with 11.6-metre and 12.58-metre beams respectively), both of which are available in a variety of configurations that will enable owners to explore like never before. Combining superyacht comforts, large fuel capacity and maximum storage, the new series is perfectly designed for extended time at sea.
The M configuration sees the upper deck strengthened and extended, allowing for the accommodation of a tender, while the S configuration of each model boasts a shorter main deck that allows for stowage of larger tenders – up to 12.5 metres in the case of the 37-metre version.
The explorer cat features a five-stateroom layout with a full-beam main deck master stateroom that boasts a fold-out balcony, while crew are accommodated in three dedicated cabins.
In addition, while the standard models are driven by two Caterpillar 750hp engines, allowing for a maximum speed for 14 knots and a range of 3,400 nautical miles, for owners looking for a little additional power, a full aluminium version of the 37-metre model is available.
It’s powered by twin 1800hp C32 CATs topping out at 22 knots while still offering a very respectable 2,400 nautical mile range.
Boasting naval architecture by Ginton Naval Architects of the Netherlands, the StellarEXP cats are built to Lloyds and ABS certification at StellarPM’s yard in Hai Phong, Vietnam, with modular interiors constructed at the brand’s factory in Zhuhai, China. The company has committed to a 20-month delivery time from contract signing.
