Hong Kong-based watchmaker Spinnaker reveals its latest limited-edition collection

Hong Kong-based watchmaker Spinnaker has debuted the Hull Commander Automatic, a new dive watch characterised by dials crafted in precious stones.

Spinnaker says its timepieces, through a combination of material, design and craftsmanship, ‘pay tribute to both a technical command and for a life beneath, beyond and beside the sea.’

The launch collection is highlighted by a series of limited edition timepieces featuring semi-precious dial faces, all captured as part of the Lapidary Limited Edition.

Measuring 42mm in diameter, the solid marine grade 316L stainless steel cushion-shaped case is topped by a scratch-resistant sapphire lens and a robust uni-directional turning bezel. This collection is minimal in design yet completely functional for an altogether militaristic look.

An elegant yet robust stainless steel bracelet hugs the Spinnaker Hull Commander Automatic to the wrist with an additional accordion shape, non-toxic, non-allergenic, sea-waterproof vulcanised rubber strap designed to fit the 22mm lug width.

With 300m of solid water resistance, the watch is still only 14mm thick. The Hull Commander Automatic Lapidary Limited Edition is powered by the reliable, resolute mechanics of the Seiko TMI NH35 Automatic Movement.

The watch is available in two unique limited editions, both designed to launch a new silhouette in the design language ethos of the Spinnaker range of nautically inspired timepieces.
