The capsule collection from Spinnaker features original illustrations inspired by the diversity of the ocean’s marine life
Spinnaker has launched a new collaboration capsule collection to help raise funds for the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) for the second year in a row.
The Marine Conservation Society is a UK-based charity dedicated to education, advocacy and action to protect the ocean. Unveiled on World Oceans Day (8 June 2023), the MCS Capsule collection comprises three unique timepieces from the Hong Kong-based watchmaker’s best-selling collections: Spence 300, Hass and Cahill 300.
Each of the three special editions features an original illustration from the MCS inspired by the diversity and beauty of the ocean’s marine life, including a turtle, a whale, and a giant squid. A portion of the proceeds from every timepiece will be donated to the MCS to support their campaigns for clean seas and beaches, sustainable fisheries, and protection of marine life.
Through education, community involvement and collaboration, the Marine Conservation Society raises awareness of the many threats that face our seas and promotes individual, industry and government action to protect the marine environment.

Spinnaker Marine Conservation Society
The Marine Conservation Society provides information and guidance on many aspects of marine conservation involving thousands of volunteers in citizen science projects such as beach cleans and litter surveys as part of its beach watch programme.
“Our ocean covers over 70 per cent of our planet,” says an MCS spokesperson. “It provides more than half the oxygen on Earth and absorbs nearly a third of all carbon emissions. When you wear this watch, you will be connected to our mission to fight for a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean, and we are so glad to have you with us.”
Spinnaker produces nautically engineered performance sports and diver watches. Earlier this month, the watchmaker debuted the Hull Commander Automatic, a new dive watch characterised by dials crafted in precious stones.
Spinnaker says its timepieces, through a combination of material, design and craftsmanship, ‘pay tribute to both a technical command and for a life beneath, beyond and beside the sea.’
