Event pushed forward to April 2021 amid health and safety concerns

Shanghai Intl Boat Show Delayed For Second Time

The organisers of the 25th China (Shanghai) International Boat Show (CIBS) have announced a second postponement of the show, until April 1-3, 2021. The event had initially been scheduled to go ahead at the start of this month and was later pushed forward to June 22-24. In a joint statement, show organisers cite ‘uncertainties’ in the face of ongoing health and safety concerns.

“Although the Covid-19 outbreak has been largely controlled in China, the spread of the global epidemic has brought more uncertainties for exhibitions,” says the statement. “We apologise for any inconvenience this postponement may bring and will be in contact with all parties on more detailed arrangements shortly.”

In 2021, the exhibition will move to the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre (SWEECC), a change from the National Convention and Exhibition Centre Shanghai (NECC), where this year’s show would have been held.
