Aluminium superyacht has fast-displacement hull, top speed of 22 knots
Sanlorenzo Asia, a division of Hong Kong-based Simpson Marine, says a second Sanlorenzo 44Alloy has found an Owner in Asia, making it the fifth unit of this model to be sold globally and the second to be based in Asia. The first 44Alloy sold to an Asian buyer was signed in late 2018 and is expected to launch this autumn and be based in Singapore.
With a fast displacement hull and built entirely in aluminum, the Sanlorenzo 44Alloy has a projected top speed of 22 knots. The interiors were developed with Zuccon International Project, which is famous for its work with the Ferretti Group.
Among the intriguing features is the Owner’s cabin, which covers 145 square metres across three deck levels, with indoor and outdoor areas. There is a 105sqm beach club and swimming platform located near a lateral garage that houses a 7m tender. An additional rescue boat and toys are stored in the bow garage.
The new 2020 model is scheduled to premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September. The first Asia-based Owner is planning to tour the Mediterranean this summer before bringing the boat to Asia.
“We are extremely proud of this sale given the current climate, and it goes to show the passion of our owners to power forward and enjoy life on the ocean in what are certainly challenging times,” says Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager.
This 44Alloy is one of 19 superyachts under construction at the Sanlorenzo Superyacht Division in La Spezia.
Sanlorenzo builds production yachts from 76 feet to 126 feet in composite, and custom built steel and aluminium superyachts from 40m up to 70m.
