The latest Maiora 35 Exuma can reach top speeds of 40 knots while enjoying tremendous stability at sea
Italy’s Next Yacht Group has launched the latest vessel in its Maiora Exuma line, which is a response to the growing demand for space and large onboard volumes at sea. The new 35m, 300GT yacht offers plenty of space and bright interiors, as well as storage capacity for all the tenders and water toys an owner will want.
The new Maiora 35 Exuma offers a speed of up to 35 knots on three waterjets powered by three MTU 2000HP engines, with a straight, plumb bow designed to cut through waves. The new yacht also has a completely open stern.
Buyers can opt for three, 2600hp engines, which boost maximum speed up to 40 knots. Waterjet propulsion gives owners higher speeds with lower vibration, as well as reduced fuel consumption and therefore emissions at higher speeds. Waterjets also reduce draught, allowing a yacht to anchor closer to shore.
In addition to the sporty and seaworthy performance, the Maiora 35 Exuma also offers a versatile interior design. The saloons feature floor-to-ceiling windows, while doors can be opened and concealed to create large, continuous areas. On the upper deck, a closed, private 47 sqm saloon can be converted into a 130 sqm area by simply opening a door, sliding the “moon-roof” open, and lowering the side glazed surfaces to create a traditional flybridge.
Stability at sea is a major factor in onboard comfort, and the designers and engineers at Next Yacht Group have focused on this extensively for the Maiora Exuma line. An automated longitudinal and lateral trim control system and two gyro stabilisers have been installed to reduce rolling and pitching in all sea conditions.
Special soundproofing techniques were incorporated into the structure of the vessel. A latest generation lithium battery package was installed, reducing engineering noise to nothing while guests sleep at anchor.
The designers allowed for a 6.5m tender, which can be stored in a side garage system. A second garage located aft can fit a 3.5m service tender plus additional toys such as Seabobs, inflatables and Scuba gear.
On this latest Maiora 35 Exuma, the owner opted to have twin bridge stations, one for the captain (with captain’s cabin directly connected) and one for the owner.
The Maiora 35 Exuma can accommodate up to 11 guests in five cabins (the full-beam master stateroom, located forward on the main deck, and four VIP cabin. There are quarters for up to six crew.
