Farfalla Marine to represent builder in three Southeast Asian countries
The Silent 80 is the new fleet flagship
Austrian-owned yacht brand Silent-Yachts, a global leader in solar-electric catamarans, has confirmed Farfalla Marine as its official dealer for Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Jason Hawkes is the group general manager of Farfalla Marine and is based in Hong Kong. “Silent-Yachts is a perfect modern brand to add to Farfalla Marine’s portfolio,” he says. “They produce the most ‘Silent’ yacht out there with their superb, beautiful and fully solar-powered catamarans.”
Farfalla Marine was co-founded by managing director Mark Denny-Fairchilde and the late David Neish. The yacht services company currently represents the Nomad, Majesty, Oryx and Silvercraft brands as the Gulf Craft brand ambassador in Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The company has plans to open a new Hong Kong office and showroom later this year, as well as a new location in Ocean Marina Yacht Club, Pattaya.

Silent-Yachts has recently revealed the first hull of its new-generation Silent 60 solar electric catamaran, which was launched at the Austrian builder’s facility in Thailand and will be available for charter. The model will debut at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
Eight more hulls of the new model are currently under construction, and a total of 17 Silent 60 models are under order. The 18m catamaran is built with a compact kite wing from Wingit, which is a special kite-sail system that generates more power per square metre than conventional sails.
