Malaysia-based FLS Yachts now represents two sailboat brands: YYachts and Grand Soleil

Italy’s Grand Soleil Yachts has appointed Malaysian yacht sales company FLS Yachts as its distributor for Southeast Asia.

Grand Soleil is a brand of Cantiere del Pardo, which has been building luxury sailing boats since 1973 and is well-known in the sailing segment.

FLS Yachts, which stands for Fast Luxurious Stylish Yachts, is based out of Royal Langkawi Yacht Club on the island of Langkawi. FLS Yachts directors Paul Jackson and Rob Williams have over 50 years of experience in the marine industry and boat sales.

Grand Soleil yachts are known for offering lightweight racing hulls with cruising amenities inside. They have a hull and deck sandwich construction with fibreglass and resin impregnation, and carbon reinforcement. The brand has two ranges – Performance and Long Cruise. Most models within the Performance Range also offer a “race version” featuring a slightly different layout and equipment. FLS are offering Grand Soleil yachts from 34′ to 58′ and Carbon from 70′ up.

FLS Yachts currently also represents German builder YYachts in Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

In June 2021, Grand Soleil revealed they had appointed Asia Yacht Service as their new dealer in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Asia Yacht Service is headed by Sytske Kimman and is based in the Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club.
