The model, announced by Beneteau this month, is scheduled to premiere at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival

A brand new flagship Oceanis Yacht 60 has been sold into Taiwan, with the sale coming shortly after the announcement of this new model by Beneteau earlier this month.

The sale was confirmed by regional dealer Simpson Marine. “It is a testament to the huge popularity of the Oceanis line and its quality construction and stylish design, as well as the active sailing scene in Taiwan and the affinity of local sailors to Beneteau brand,” Simpson says in a statement.

The Oceanis Yacht 60 ocean cruiser was designed in collaboration with Italians Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento – a working relationship that started with the First Yacht 53 three years ago. Featuring a gentle reverse sheer, the 18m hull profile of the 60 echoes that of its 54ft sister model.

The Oceanis Yacht 60’s exterior styling is very similar to the Oceanis Yacht 54, including the standard mainsheet arch, low freeboard, low profile coach roof and a hint of reverse sheer. Although the hull length is 70cm less than the previous 62-footer, the overall interior volume remains the same to create more space in the owner’s suite. This was achieved in part by abandoning a completely level cabin sole throughout the boat.

The Oceanis Yacht 60 is scheduled to premiere at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, which runs from 6-11 September 2022.
