Once delivered in 2023, this 'pocket superyacht' inspired by mid-century glamour will be based in Asia
Italy’s Codecasa Yachts has announced the sale of the first Gentleman’s 24 Yacht to an owner from Asia. The sale was concluded by Carmen Lau, senior advisor for Camper & Nicholsons, while the 24-month construction will be supervised by Camper & Nicholsons’ new build division. Once delivered in 2023, she will mainly be based in Asia.
This 24-metre Gentleman’s 24 is referred to as a “pocket superyacht” by the builder. She pays homage to a ‘golden era’ of yachting, with classic lines recalling the elegant style of 50s and 60s yachts. The all-aluminium construction is designed for high performance.
The project was developed by naval architect Luca Dini of Luca Dini Design and Architecture, in co-operation with Kurt Lehmann of Yacht Moments, who both drew inspiration from the yachts of their childhood while coming up with the concept.
Onboard, there is an owner suite and three guest cabins, as well as two crew cabins. A large exterior deck is connected to the internal living space by sliding glass doors. The tender is a small-scale version of the Gentleman’s Yacht, and is stored on the main deck.
“We would like to express our congratulations to Camper & Nicholsons International for the sale of this yacht,” said Fulvio Codecasa, chairman of Codecasa Shipyards. “This deal represents for us the achievement of a triple target: the confirmation of the excellent co-operation relationship that we have with Camper & Nicholsons Worldwide, the beginning of a hopefully long-lasting co-operation with one of the most important names of the industry, like Luca Dini Design, and a strengthening of the Codecasa brand presence in the Asian market”.
