The third edition of Abu Dhabi International Boat Show was the region's first boat show of 2021, and attracted 353 exhibitors from 28 countries. UAE-based Gulf Craft was the largest exhibitor at the show with its display of six vessels

The third Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS) has come to a successful close, after taking place October 13-16 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and ADNEC Marina.
ADIBS was the UAE’s first boat show of 2021, with displays on both water and land, and predominantly featured boats from local builders, with local companies making up 43% of exhibitors. Travel restrictions are still tight in Abu Dhabi, and so the show attracted a large number of local visitors, with relatively few visitors from overseas or other GCC nations.¬†
In total, ADIBS 2021 attracted 353 exhibitors and brands from 28 countries, an increase of 24% compared to the last show in 2019.
Saeed Al Mansoori, executive director of Capital Events, said: “ADIBS is an ideal platform to learn about the latest innovations in boating, fishing, marine sports and leisure industries. In addition, the exhibition is an ideal opportunity for maritime companies to conclude deals, discuss cooperation and find partners to help promote the development of this important industry.”
UAE-based Gulf Craft is the Middle East’s largest boat and yacht builder and was the largest exhibitor at the show. The builder had a display of five boats, in addition to its Nomad SUV 95′ expedition yacht.

Gulf Craft has grown from a manufacturer of small pleasure craft in 1982, to a yacht manufacturer in 1991 and a globally respected leading builder of superyachts since 2000. The company currently maintains three shipyards in the UAE and a facility in the Maldives.
In September, Gulf Craft announced its major expansion across Europe to meet growing demand from the continent alongside its focus on the USA and Australian markets. In the first half of 2021, Gulf Craft saw a 42% increase in new orders, and is exploring an expansion of its Umm al Quwain manufacturing facility to accommodate the growth.
