The Monte Carlo Yacht 70 Skylounge is the first yacht in the Italian yard’s Skylounge Collection to debut in Hong Kong. To celebrate the upcoming Asian premiere in January 2021, the Asia Yachting team took the opportunity to embark on a local cruise and photoshoot with the yacht, on the tranquil waters of Tai Tam, on the southern side of Hong Kong Island.
The general arrangements of the MCY Skylounge Collection are characterised by the introduction of a new spacious enclosed flybridge area, which incorporates the sole helm station and a large entertainment area.
Innovative naval architecture helps to offer a unique view of the horizon, visible both internally and externally, thanks to the connection with the sunbathing aft terrace. Large exterior living spaces are found from the wide bow lounge area. The aft cockpit’s dining area features mirror fashion plates for increased privacy and protection from the elements.
An elegant glass staircase reflecting the natural brightness of the yacht connects the Skylounge area with the main saloon, which comes with sofas, a fully equipped galley and dining facilities. This functional area can be further expanded thanks to the close connection with the aft cockpit, which offers an additional al fresco dining location.
Ivory metallic and charcoal grey lacquered wood panels together with glass surfaces, white glossy marble and reflective details provide a contemporary ambience, balanced by the warmth of the durmast oak flooring and walnut vertical panels.
The MCY 70 Skylounge can host up to 8 guests, with a VIP cabin, two guest cabins and an owner cabin that is accessed by a private staircase for a higher degree of privacy.
Asia Yachting is currently welcoming guests for a first-hand preview on board the MCY 70 Skylounge, available by prior registration: https://bit.ly/34ABKwS
