The operators of Kudanil Explorer, a 50-metre charter and expedition yacht based in Indonesia, have announced that it will resume operations in March 2021. The yacht’s captain and crew used the downtime created by Covid-19 lockdowns to develop new itineraries in anticipation of the opening up of travel and tourism. The yacht’s operators said that additional hygiene standards have been put in place to protect both guests and crew.
The Capella Resort in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
In 2021, Kudanil Explorer will also begin hosting trips in conjunction with the award-winning Capella resort in Ubud, Bali. On board the Kudanil Explorer, guests can enjoy a five-night cruise to Komodo Park, one of the world’s best dive sites.
The managers of Kudanil Explorer are also offering special rates on guests taking individual cabins, with US$12,000 plus 10% VAT per night for trips to Komodo, and US$13,500 per night plus 10% VAT for all other destinations. A special Covid-19 cancellation policy is also in place. These terms apply for all trips with deposit paid before December 31, 2020.
The yacht was originally built in 1978 and was last refitted in 2018.
Guests can charter Kudanil Explorer by the room and or the whole yacht. There are eight, 30-square metre guest rooms, each located on the upper deck with a private balcony over the sea. Special beds can be arranged for charter parties with children.

On the main deck there is a spa and the aft deck features a large dive deck, with space for excursion planning, changing rooms and three bathrooms. On the top deck, there is an open air Jacuzzi and sun loungers.
The yacht is equipped with three custom tenders, kayaks, paddle boards, a kite surfing kit, surfboards, wakeboards and waterskis, plus diving equipment.
Kudanil Explorer can be chartered via its own website and also chartered via Simpson Marine and Camper and Nicholsons.
