Foreign tourists can directly enter the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the "Sail the Andamans" Yacht Carnival & Rally
The Government of India has issued a home ministry notification that designates the Port Blair Airport, in the union territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, as an authorised Indian entry/exit immigration check post for all classes of passengers with valid travel documents.
“Foreign tourists can now directly fly to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands”, reports Mr. R. Rathnam of Asia Pacific Superyachts Andaman Islands, India.

For those interested in cruising to this destination, the second annual “Sail the Andamans” Yacht Carnival & Rally will be held from February 20 to March 21.
The Indian Embassy in Bangkok and the High Commission of India in Malaysia have agreed to issue visas for the participants of the Yachting Carnival, and an e-Visa facility is to be expected soon in the seaport and airport of Port Blair with the purpose of giving visas to arriving foreigners upon arrival.

Yachts can sail into the heart of the Andaman Seas which begins and ends at Port Blair. Some boats will be arriving from Phuket and destinations in other countries, with friends, family and crew members to join the “Sail the Andamans” festivities and to explore the Andaman Islands.
The “Sail the Andamans” Yacht Carnival highlights sailing around the Andaman Islands, and a special on and off the water itinerary is available from Andaman Holidays. International guests will find one of the most picturesque and fascinating parts of the world with a diverse cultural heritage spread across a series of unique large and small islands.
