Contest Yachts will be represented in Asia by Hong Kong's Asia Yacht Services, headed by Bart Kimman

Dutch yard Contest Yachts has announced the appointment of Hong Kong-based Asia Yacht Services, headed by Bart Kimman, as its distributor for the region. 

“We have worked previously with Asia Yacht Services’ CEO Bart Kimman and are delighted to reconnect in this new relationship,” said Contest Yachts CEO Arjen Conijn. “Asia Yacht Services is a high profile, multi-brand dealership with a long-standing reputation for top-level service, and our Contest yachts fit well with the company’s strategic offering.”

Founded in 1959 by Ed Conijn, Contest Yachts is based in Medemblik, Holland, and it is a third-generation family-run firm. The company began as a builder of Olympic sailing dinghies and now builds a range of performance bluewater sailing yachts. in 2011, the company added motor yachts to its lineup. 

Contest 49CS, the latest model from Contest Yachts

Contest Yachts builds a series of sailing yachts ranging from 42 feet (42CS) up to its flagship 85-footer (85CS), designed with Judel/Vrolijk and Wetzels Brown Partners. The 42CS won European Yacht of the Year in 2014, making it a great entry-level cruising yacht. 

The company offers a 52-foot motoryacht that can be configured with a hard top, flybridge or kept as an open yacht.

Asia Yacht Services is a distributor focused on sailing yacht brands. The company also provides charter and brokerage services, as well as offering serviced moorings in Hong Kong’s Hei Ling Chau typhoon shelter through its Delta Marina division

Contest Yachts have just launched two new models, the 49CS and the 50CS, both of which will be premiered at the upcoming Boot Düsseldorf, which opens after a two-year hiatus on January 21, 2023. Both new yachts have the option of all-electric propulsion engineered with a completely
new Torqeedo and BMW-based system.
