NFT Superyacht company Cloud Yachts has launched the Superyacht NFT, the world's first tokenized superyacht experience.
Offering unparalleled access to remarkable adventures aboard a fleet of luxury vessels, the new token experience merges the realms of blockchain technology and luxury yachts. By leveraging the power of blockchain technology and NFTs, Cloud Yachts connects the exclusive superyacht domain with a wider audience, turning the dream of an indulgent day at sea into reality for many.
Boston Consulting Group predicts that tokenization of illiquid assets will become a US$16 trillion business by 2030.
“While weathering the bear market storm, our team went full-throttle, we were obsessed with how to deliver the maximum utility for Cloud Yachts NFT holders,” says Shannon Allen, Cloud Yachts Managing Director, who has already generated over US$20 million in real-life superyacht sales in 2023. She says the company’s entire focus has been on providing unmatched utility, not just price speculation.
“We feel like we have cracked the code, unlocking mind-blowing opportunities exclusive to NFTs, allowing us to tokenize superyachts and deliver valuable benefits to our NFT holders,” says Allen. “Just wait and see -once we fine-tune this ingenious process, the yachting industry will be riding a tsunami of tokenization. No other NFT has provided utility even close to what we are offering, and we are just getting our sea legs.”
“Our 94 Sunseeker, valued at US$1,500,000, exemplifies an asset that cannot be swiftly liquidated,” says Zach Mandelstein, Silicon Valley tech veteran and Founder of CloudYachts, which dubbs itself as the world’s first web3 yacht brokerage. The purchase of one Cloud Yachts Superyacht NFT for US$500 guarantees the purchaser one cruise around Miami, where the vessel is docked, and is valid for an entire year. The Superyacht NFT can be acquired using ETH, Credit Card, or Apple Pay.
“The tokenization process and NFTs resolve this issue, unlocking once-in-a-lifetime experiences for the token holders. It’s a perfect synergy for both the superyacht owner and the NFT holder. The launch of Cloud Yachts’ Superyacht NFT signifies a monumental fusion of luxury yachts and blockchain technology. says Mandelstein.
Last year, Cloud Yachts teamed up with leading superyacht designers and Denison Yachts to create 100 megayacht NFTs, which they presented at the Miami International Boat Show. The technology has already been adopted by award-winning superyacht designer Gregory C Marshall, who created a 207ft vessel (above) that has already been sold to an owner that will initially discuss customisation with the design and build teams on the yacht in the Metaverse.
