The entry-level family cruiser will make its world premiere in October
CL Yachts has launched the first hull of the new CLB65, three months before the model’s world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.
The CLB65 flybridge is an entry-level family cruiser. It’s the smallest boat made by CL Yachts to date, and is the sister of the CLB72.
The CLB65 was designed by veteran naval architect Howard Apollonio and leading marine structural engineers Gurit. The design features an outdoor aft-galley and lounge with door and opening salon windows, and three large staterooms below deck, plus one convertible crew room. A swim platform offers easy access to the water.
The large flybridge has two helm seats on the starboard side, with a U-shaped lounge to port. There are also amenities including an integrated electric grill and refrigerator.
Exterior design and layout was completed in-house, with interior design by Interiors by Carmen, who also designed the CLB72.
The first CLB65 is to be configured with twin Volvo IPS1050 pods, electric fin stabilisers and a ‘C Zone’ monitoring system that oversees tankage, major boat functions, and integrated navigation electronics, and can be accessed remotely. A resin-infused composite hull offers a high strength-to-weight ratio.
The CLB65 will feature RINA Hull Certification and can be CE certified, and has an estimated top speed of 27 knots at full load. It is scheduled to debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from October 26-30.
