The British deck hardware manufacturer is expanding in southeast Asia
British deck hardware manufacturer Barton Marine has announced a new partnership and distribution agreement with Singaporean firm EELAT.
Marine engineering and distribution specialist EELAT provides product sales, engineering solutions and consultancy services for a wide variety of marine businesses.
The Singapore sailing marketplace is rapidly expanding, with dinghy sailing, cruising clubs and racing fleets all building strong followings. Singapore benefits from being a robust stop-over location for vessel repairs and refit because of its excellent location in southeast Asia alongside a competitive tax system. EELAT distributes across the country to shops and businesses that service the marine industry.

Barton‘s chief commercial officer, Jeff Webber says: “This is an excellent example of how Metstrade helps to build our business every year, as we met with Viejaya Jeya, director at EELAT during Metstrade 2022, and we have been able to discuss a distribution plan and move the partnership forward in the short time since then. We are confident this distribution program in Singapore will be a great addition to our worldwide trading platform, and we welcome EELAT to the Barton team.”
Barton continues to grow its worldwide sales network and now has over 35 marine distributors globally.
