Ferretti Group has welcomed Asia-Pacific’s first Ferretti Yachts 1000 to Taiwan. The yacht, which was sold to a Taiwanese buyer at the start of the year, was photographed this month against the picturesque Taipei skyline.
First launched last March, the Ferretti Yachts 1000 is the new Ferretti flagship and the largest ever built by the Italian shipyard. The FY1000 is also the first ‘wide-body’ yacht from Ferretti.
“The new flagship is an exciting choral work permeated by the flair, vision and passion of so many skilled and talented people who represent the winning factor for Ferretti Yachts. To them all I’d like to offer my heartfelt thanks for how they have completed an extraordinary project like Ferretti Yachts 1000 in such a complicated year,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi shortly after the launch last year.

The 1000 also introduces Ferretti‘s new “flow” concept, in which guests and owner can move about the yacht, from bow to stern, with total ease. The flow concept comes into its own from the flybridge: guests can get to the forward bow lounge area from there via direct companionways. The owner’s suite is accessed from the bow lounge area, creating a sense of privacy and privilege while allowing easy movement.
Measuring just over 30m in length with a full beam of 6.81m, the FY1000 was designed by Ferretti’s Product Strategy Committee and Group Engineering Department. Exteriors were penned by Filippo Salvetti, with interiors by Italian design firm Ideaeitalia.
Features of the FY1000 include a 40 square-metre main deck with beach club, four guest cabins on the lower deck, an owner’s suite on the main deck, and an expansive 55 square-metre flybridge above.
