Brand new model will be based in Pattaya

A brand new Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 has been sold into Pattaya, Thailand, marking the first Oceanis 34.1 unit sold into Asia since her launch in October last month.

It’s more good news for local dealers Simpson Marine Thailand, who also reported the sale of a new model Gran Turismo 36 into the country earlier this week.

The Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 is a replacement for the previous Oceanis 34 model. The 34.1 carries many of the same features of the current Oceanis range. These include a wide beam, a full-length hull chine, double rudders and two wheels. The new Oceanis 34.1 promises to also offer additional stability and power when heeled, while keeping the waterline narrow for better light-wind sailing.

This Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 has added to the growing fleet of Simpson yachts in Pattaya. The city currently has a Beneteau Swift Trawler 47, Beneteau First 14, 18 and 27, and a Lagoon 46, with a Beneteau Gran Turismo 41 due to arrive later this month.

In 2022, Pattaya’s fleet will continue to expand, according to Simpson Marine, with the expected arrival of a brand new Oceanis 40.1, Beneteau Gran Turismo 36 and Asia’s first Aquila 54 into the region.

The markets in Bangkok and Pattaya markets continue to remain strong, as Thailand begins to open up slowly. In November, the organiser of the Thailand Yacht Show, Verventia,¬†revealed they will be staging an “extension” of the Phuket show in¬†Pattaya from next year onwards, after agreeing a partnership with the owners of Ocean Marina in Pattaya.
