The Hong Kong Gold Coast Boat Show, the largest mega marine event of the region, will take place from 11 to 13 May at the Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club of the Sino Group. Stepping into its fifteen consecutive year, the show is bigger than ever with 60 exhibitors displaying over 80 top brands from global manufacturers including Sunseeker, Azimut, Lagoon, Beneteau, Fairline, Riva, Hanse, Cranchi, Maiora, Marquis, Sliverton, Sessa, Jeanneau, Bavaria, Leopard, Salona, Delta, Horizon, Novatec, Monterey, Prout international, IAG, Bayliner and more. With a total value of HK$500 million, the 80 boats range in value from HK$200,000 to HK$60 million apiece.

Delta 54

Under the spotlight this year is the world’s first carbon fiber yacht Delta 54 ‘Carbon Cruiser’. This Swedish built yacht model makes full use of carbon fiber, similar to that used in the fastest racing cars, and is about 30% lighter than comparable models. The technological advancement reduces fuel consumption and is more environmentally friendly.

Another highlight is the super yacht Azimut 103, a creative concept of Stefano Righini and the Azimut Design Team. Its vast external leisure area, a notable design feature, provides more than 120 square meters of usable external space, and is divided among the stern platform, the cockpit, the relaxing area at the bow and the new upper deck space.

Equally stunning is the China built Electra 100 Presented by IAG Yachts Ltd, a premier Chinese yacht manufacturer, which is built for discerning yacht owners who appreciate quality and the best things in life. All machinery and equipment are procured from respected European and American manufacturers to ensure quality and safety. With the relaxing yet modern styled sun­deck, the outdoor design provides the perfect environment for leisure and recreation.

Electra 100

Apart from the luxurious Chinese yacht, another Chinese exhibitor is bringing the bespoke wooden Chinese sailing craft Marine XO to the Show. Marine XO is a collaboration of the fourth generation Chinese shipwrights and a western expert in Chinese maritime history and nautical construction. Equipped with professional CAD design, hand tools and modern machinery, the extraordinary Marine XO comes with fine ocean-going vessels, smaller water craft and scale models, following a historically authentic, time-honored bull and sail plan. Top-grade timber and materials from all corners of the world have been utilized to bring the ancient boat into life, demonstrating the paragon of Chinese intangible cultural heritage while enabling owners to savor the exhilarating yachting experience.

The British luxury yacht brand Sunseeker, a big hit among the affluent in town, will showcase their Predator 74 at the show, which provides total flexibility to meet the requirements of either owner-driver or crewed operation. With a choice of either standard hardtop or optional sports flybridge, and of layout configurations, this versatile model is another step in the evolution of the Predator range. Another eye catching Hugo Boss selling yacht will be showcased in the show as well which no one should miss.
